Our passion is to glorify, love and live for God as followers of Jesus Christ. Through God's Word, the Bible, we disciple and equip people to grow in love for God and each other; and to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
Jesus said to his disciples (Mt 22:37) that the first and the greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind. Our prayer is that we as a church will grow in our love for God every day.
We believe that the preached Word is the focus of our corporate worship. Our everyday life and ministry should be Bible based (2 Tim 3:16) and Gospel focused. Reformed theology is what we stand for.
Total dependency on God is foundational. Jesus taught us how to pray (Mt 6:9), and demonstrated that prayer is vital. We desire that prayer will be a culture in our church where we grow in our dependence on God.
We believe that God has gifted every member of his church (1 Cor 12:14-27) with gifts and talents and everyone has a part to play. We encourage everyone to use their gifts to serve.
Since we are all accountable to God (Rom 14:12), it benefits us to hold ourselves accountable to one another. Small groups and one-on-one friendships are avenues we encourage.
To love and care for each other (Jn 13:34-35) is a core value we hold on to. To be a loving and caring church reflecting the very attribute of God is what we want to be.
Serving one another wholeheartedly (Eph 6:7) prompted by love is a culture we value. God has given to each one of us grace to serve in many different ways.
We aim to be a hospitable and welcoming church (Heb 13:2). We hope to leave the ‘comfort zone’ to be welcoming to newcomers and others whom we do not know well.
To be united in what we believe and stand for is a culture that we value. Paul says (1 Cor 1:10) that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you.
We encourage everyone to spend time with God in prayer (Lk 5:16) and studying the Bible every day. To sustain a healthy spiritual life, personal devotion is foundational.
We want to remain and grow as a community around the Great Commission (Mt 28:19-20). To go and make disciples of all nations and take the gospel to those who haven’t heard.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and is the only rule of faith and practice. Its authority depends on God Himself who is its author.
We believe that God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and He exists in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God - fully God and fully man. He is the only Redeemer of God's elect, accomplishing salvation through His perfect work on the cross and resurrection.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who works faith in people, unites them to Christ, and gives them power to live godly lives.
We believe that all humanity has sinned. We are unable to save ourselves. We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, and that this is the gift of God.
We believe that God has established His church on earth, His holy family, which exists to glorify God by humble hearing and obedience to His Word.
We believe that Christ, the head of the church, has instituted the rule of elders for its maturity and purity.
We believe in the personal, glorious and triumphant return of Jesus Christ when the dead will be raised to be judged.
Our beliefs are best summarised in the Westminster Confession of Faith.
At its heart, a Confession is an act of agreement. The word comes from the Latin confiteri, meaning "to acknowledge together." When we say we are a confessional church, we are simply saying, "We agree together that the Bible teaches these truths."
We believe the Bible is the only perfect, infallible rule for our faith. However, we also know that people can read the same verses and come away with different understandings. A confession is an honest and transparent way for us to say, "This is what we believe God says."
